Hi, I'm glad you're here.If you are struggling with a relationship, feeling down or out of control, then you are in the right place. What many people do is try to sweep things under the rug—or they numb themselves with everything from work, to food, to vegging out in front of the TV. They try to ignore their problems, but issues won't resolve themselves and will likely get worse.
Imagine being happy again, feeling connected with your loved ones, and having a sense of purpose that you haven’t felt in years. You can keep doing what you’ve been doing, or choose a new path that won’t be easy, but can lead to the fulfilling life God is calling you toward. Let's journey together, so you can find strength for today and hope for tomorrow. A little about me.My name is Kristine Nutt and I am a Master's-Level Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-18419) and Certified Mediator. I have a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UNC-Asheville. I specialize in helping those struggling with emotional, relational, and mental health issues.
I have extensive training and experience as both a therapist, interventionist, and recovery coach working with individuals and family members affected by compulsive behavior and mental health issues. I have over twenty years of experience working in both inpatient and outpatient treatment programs, the school system, private practice, and was part of a pilot program with the National Center for PTSD and FEMA. I am trained in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I previously served as an examiner for the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board, and have presented at local, state, and national conferences. I have had the opportunity to work for some of the most highly respected treatment programs in the country and have years of experience working with clients and their families dealing with complex issues and situations. I believe the therapeutic relationship is key, and look forward to meeting you to see if we are a good fit. My style is meeting people where they are with a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach. Therapy is not a “one size fits all” approach and I believe in many pathways to recovery. Through my personal and professional experience, I know how difficult asking for help and finding resources can be. My passion is helping anyone who wants help and love working with both the individual and family. What's holding you back?
