What is Biblical Counseling?
Biblical counseling is one-on-one spiritual support given by a trained volunteer who is interning with our practice. This is not to be confused with professional clinical or pastoral counseling. Biblical counselors use basic counseling skills such as active listening, empathic responding and questioning, with their understanding of the Bible and how it relates to everyday life.
What is the cost?
The cost for biblical counseling is included if you are already a client of Arizona Christian Counseling. It is also available for free as a ministry to those in the community. Biblical counseling does not consist of professional or pastoral counseling, but is offered by trained volunteers as an auxiliary to ongoing professional counseling.
Our Biblical Counseling Interns
Our interns are educated at the Bachelor's level and are under the pastoral supervision of their local church. Each one of our interns are working toward being credentialed as a Board Certified Biblical Counselor by the AACC Board of Professional and Pastoral Counselors.
